I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Calabash-android and calabash-iOS html report

So calabash is generating a nice html report when the tests pass or fail.
A nice feature would be to see or download these reports just like it happens with junit tests.
The command would be something like --format 'Calabash::Formatters::Html' --out index.html

    • Add availability to override env vars through curl command

In case of using curl command to chain app building, it could be interesting to override an existing env vars as you can already create a new one.

      Thanks.

      • add test info in the build results summary

If tests were run, I'd love to see how many tests succeeded or failed.

        • auto abort build when PR is closed

it would be nice to auto abort the build when the PR is closed rather than having to manually abort it.

          • Persistent variables

It would be really nice if we can store variables in some kind of database or dictionary.

This way I could store the latest version number and increment it in each build.

Also could be interesting to store things like statics about the build.

              • Add ability to reference step/workflow globally between apps

As an agency with many apps, we have a few steps that are the same for every app (such as sending slack message, uploading to s3 etc), some of these steps are simple, but chaging them for all apps (we will most likely have 30+) will be pretty time consuming.

Would be nice to have an ability to reference a step within a workflow, or a workflow that can just be a "pre/post" workflow, somehow with an "account step/workflow" feature, or a new step that would allow the configuration of the executing workflow on the fly.

                Similarly to this would…

                • Deploy to Bintray

It would help to be able to deploy downloadable artifacts directly to Bintray. Travis and others now have this capability directly out of the box.

                  • `auto rebuild` for a failed build received from non-authorized users

Closing and Reopening the PullRequest triggers a rebuild like Travis is doing.
Arbitrary PullRequest can trigger a build, so Reopening PullRequest should too.
This way PullRequest's author can restart build without creating Bitrise account.

Steps can be configured to "Always latest" version. It would be great to have an option to upgrade only to latest backward compatible version i.e. only minor and patch upgrades.

To simplify this, users, who have signed up with GitHub and are part of a GitHub organisation which is associated with a Bitrise organisation, should be automatically in the Bitrise organisation and have access to the apps.

                              • Reserve concurrencies per project and have a shared pool of additional concurrencies

We have iOS and Android apps and would like to run tests for both of them.

We would like to be able to buy, say 4 concurrencies. And reserver one for Android and one for iOS project. And have 2 remaining concurrencies in a shared pool. So if there are 4 pull requests coming at the same time for iOS, it will use only 3 concurrencies (1 reserver and 2 from shared pool if they were available). And Android team will have at least one reserved concurrency whenever they need it.

I can currently bookmark an app dashboard, but not the dashboard filtered for a specific branch's builds within that app. CircleCI has a good implementation of this.

                                  • Don't allow access to the password for the certificate.p12

When a certificate is added to the workflow, the password is needed. However, when editing the workflow, the password should not be revealed. The current interface creates a security risk.

One user should be able to upload the certificate and password without exposing that password to another user. If the password is incorrect or in question, then the password could be re-entered and updated but it should not be revealed.

                                    • Create client install page with a list of preselected builds

Currently, each build can have its public install page, so when we reach a point that we're ready for client test we manually send them link to public install page of some particular build.

As time goes by, these links get lost somewhere inside Slack, Mail etc, so clients ask from us to send them again link for some particular version they want to test or compare with.

Now, we could (as an alternative) develop some simple backend API and webpage with a list of all builds available for client, but we think that could be a great Bitrise feature.

                                      • Include pre-built versions of jazzy and slather

We use jazzy to generate HTML-docs and slather to format code coverage reports from Xcode.
Currently we install both of these using 'gem install', but this takes a substantial amount of time, so we would love to have these gems preinstalled.

                                            2. select “Groups” on the left side
